Privacy Policy for Off

Off (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a focus tool that helps you block distracting apps on your own iPhone using Apple’s Screen Time (Family Controls) framework. Your privacy is simple to describe because the app is built to keep everything on your device.

Information we collect

We do not collect any personal information. The app has no account system, no login, and no server. We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any data.

Data that stays on your device

To function, the app stores the following locally on your iPhone only:

• Your app/website selections for what to block. These are represented by opaque tokens provided by Apple’s Family Controls framework. They are stored on-device in a private app group container and are never transmitted anywhere.
• Your settings and preferences (such as session and notification preferences), stored locally on your device.

This information never leaves your device, is not accessible to us, and is removed if you delete the app.

Screen Time / Family Controls

The app uses Apple’s Family Controls, Device Activity, and Managed Settings frameworks to block distracting apps on the same device, for yourself. This access is governed by Apple’s system permission prompt, which you can grant or revoke at any time in iOS Settings. Apple does not share the contents of your Screen Time activity with us, and we do not request or receive it.

Third parties

The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising, tracking SDKs, or network requests. No data is shared with any third party.

Children

The app is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
